About News of the News
Written by David Gerard. I have a large pile of these things I did for Uncyclopedia UnNews as well.
I write this stuff by seeing what’s on Google News or the BBC that day that starts an idea. Scribble something in a text editor (KATE or KWrite), find a suitable picture on Wikimedia Commons or Flickr (paying due attention to licensing) and manipulate it in the GIMP (usually InGIMP, to be precise), then queue it for the next morning. Occasional extras by day if I’m feeling particularly inspired. (Though of late I’m insanely busy at work and have an attention-demanding toddler at home, so skip days a bit often.)
If you like a story, please do tell your friends, send the link around, click “I like it!” in StumbleUpon, etc.!
Don’t forget to get the daily alert email as well.

Great site - great humor!
I found your site quite by accident … I’ve just installed Xubuntu on my aging Evo N410c, and you had some notes. I’d love to get my hands on them if you’ve still got them (link? soft copy?). I’ll even be glad to host them at dentonlt.com if you need the space/bandwidth.
Thanks for considering it, and for pouring out the entertainment. Cheers from Melbourne -
